You could say that I was "grandfathered" into this crazy photog world. My father learned alongside my grandfather at a young age. They were hooked!
Growing up watching my father always taking photos, had me curious about it. Of course, at the time I was too young for my own 35mm. My parents bought me polaroid cameras and point and shoots to see if maybe it would be something I'd be interested in. GAH-LEE was I?! Ha. My parents always had film to get developed. I was always having "photoshoots" with cousins and friends.
I then learned very early, that I was drawn to the "in-between". Yeah, sure everyone can squeeze in together and cheese, but where's the emotion?
Have you ever seen an old photo of a couple, where you can truly feel their joy through it?Those moments that feel the most fleeting, but hold the most meaning -(like a Hozier or Brandon Lake yell), the way the light hits just right, wind catching in someone's hair, those quiet glances that say EVERYTHING?
Yeah, THOSE-You'd be crazy not to want to bottle them up and preserve them for as long as possible. To keep those moments for not just how they look-but how it felt.
Whether I'm documenting an intimate elopement or the beautiful chaos of your family life, I want to preserve that all for you!
